Yeah, okay, it’s that big AT&T logo front and center, which makes an appearance in several of PHONE Magazine’s shots of the interface. We’d like to believe that means that AT&T is a lock to pick up one of the hottest Windows Mobile devices ever manufactured, and indeed, it probably does — its 3G radio is certainly ripe for the job — but it’s entirely possible to think that Sony Ericsson is still in the process of selling carriers on the device, and is simply trying to get ‘em to crack a smile by loading their logo.

Late last week, there were rumors floating around that the X1 was going to be delayed until 2009. Luckily, I was quite busy with the site upgrades and didn’t have a chance to share that rumor. I am very interested in the X1 (even started Xperiasite, but haven’t had the time to finish) and I really hated to hear this. The Unwired was reporting that a document with release dates showed the X1 in 2009.

Yesterday I found a post on Engadget that confirmed that the X1 is on track still. Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice President of the Global Communications Aldo Liguori told the Unofficial Sony Ericsson Blog the following…

“I can confirm that we will be launching the X1 product in 2nd Half of 2008, as per our announcement of 10th February.”

I am really looking forward to this release!

Well, my latest blogs are GotZune.com and Tiltsite.com and I couldn’t resist the urge to follow the XPERIA through a blog as well. I love the AT&T Tilt and it’s form factor. I used the i-mate KJam for a long time too. The sliding QWERTY devices are where it’s at for me. Now comes along a new slider from a great company that knows consumer based handsets, I am onboard. I have never touched one yet, but I am very excited for it’s launch.

The XPERIA X1 has a 3-inch wide 800 x 480px VGA touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, Stereo Bluetooth, GPS, and WiFi. It uses touch navigation, a full qwerty keyboard, and a 4-way button and optical joystick.

I really think this is going to be a great phone and I want one!

So, this site is going to be similar to my other blogs. It will share some info/posts from Mobilitysite as well as some original content. I will add features as time goes on as well. If anyone is interested in helping out too, shoot me a note via the contact form.
